Since 1925, Community Missions, Inc. (CMI) has provided help, hope, and opportunity to those in need in our community. Today, CMI is the largest private provider of basic human needs and of mental health services in Niagara County.
In general, Community Missions serves vulnerable populations that, through a variety of circumstances, have been marginalized, overlooked and challenging in their presentations and behaviors.
At Community Missions, we provide a unique blend of services meeting the needs of the Niagara community. Since our founding more than 100 years ago, we have evolved in response to the changing situations of those seeking our help.
Among our nearly two dozen programs are those focused on homelessness, food insecurity, mental health, criminal justice, gun violence, harm reduction/substance use, and juvenile justice. These programs are offered among the following four divisions:

From our Christian foundation, our belief is that everyone benefits from spiritual growth. We enhance a person's spiritual growth and wholeness in the tradition of their choice.

Reliable behavior and actions that display a commitment to identify and enhance each person's potential

Enhancing spiritual growth
As a Christian agency, our chosen role in terms of religion and faith is to express our belief that everyone benefits from spiritual growth. We will provide resources, programs, and community linkages, without proselytizing, that will enhance spiritual growth and wholeness in the faith/spiritual tradition of an individual’s choice and support them as they seek to grow in that tradition.

We are committed to using every donation wisely to show Compassion in Action through the provision of shelter, food, clothing and other basic human needs.
We accept donations of food, clothing, personal care and household items to support our clients of all ages. Pickup of large items can be arranged.
